Actress Sandra Bullock, who plays the lead role, said she was initially reluctant to work with Leigh Anne since she’d has had less than positive experiences with Christians.
“People use it [Christianity] as a banner, and then they don’t do the right thing,” she told Straight.com.
However, Bullock later had a change of heart.
“I feel I have finally met someone who practices but doesn’t preach,” she said. ”I now have faith in those who say they represent a faith.”
So why did the couple reach out to Oher?

God’s omnipresence and the manifestation of His presence are two different things. One is a fact; the other is often a feeling. God is always present, even when you are unaware of Him, and His presence is too profound to be measured by mere emotion. Yes, He wants you to sense His presence, but He’s more concerned that you trust Him than that you feel Him. Faith, not feelings, pleases God. |
